Cardoons are THE Christmas vegetable par excellence. Unfortunately, as I live in eastern Switzerland, I have to do without them because they are only available in western Switzerland. You used to be able to order them from Globus in ZH, but since they've been sold, my much-loved Cardons are unfortunately in a very bad way. It is also not available online at Migros.
