Hello, I bought these new eco interdental brushes as an alternative to the pyramid brushes ISO 4-6 (5104.085). Unfortunately, the wire of the new brushes bends very quickly, so that it cannot fulfill its purpose so well. Can you please tell me what the numbers refer to? ISO 4-6, diameter 5-9 mm, PHD 1.3 mm. The ISO standard for interdental brushes is a standard according to which interdental brushes are classified according to their ease of movement. The clearance describes the smallest interdental space into which the respective brush size fits without the wire core bending. In the ISO standard for interdental brushes, this value is called PHD.
- ISO = The ISO standard for interdental brushes is a standard according to which interdental brushes are classified according to their ease of use (color coding)
- Diameter = outer diameter of the brushes
- PHD = the smallest interdental space into which the respective brush size fits without the wire core bending. PHD = passage hole diameter
