Hello Migroskind105, thank you for your question. Our decaffeinated coffee beans undergo the gentle CO2 process. We only use water and CO2 to release the caffeine from the unroasted beans. The CO2 is used under high pressure to extract the caffeine from the bean. We can then reuse the CO2. The result: decaffeinated green coffee - without the use of solvents or other chemicals. We had the exact same discussion at home today because my mom claimed that these Decaffeinato Lungos in blue, just like the other regular blue Lungos, also cause insomnia!

Hello immer_eine_Frage, according to EU Regulation (EC) No. 1924/2006, decaffeinated coffee (Decaf) may have a maximum caffeine content of 0.1% in the dry matter. This corresponds to approximately 1 mg of caffeine per 100 ml of ready-made coffee. The legal limit for decaffeinated instant coffee is 0.3% caffeine in the dry matter. According to the manufacturer, each production run is carefully checked before release to ensure compliance with these specifications. Please excuse us, we made a mistake with regard to the printed information - the caffeine content is not declared on the packaging of Café Royal Espresso Decaf coffee capsules, which is legally compliant. Why on earth do the Decaf capsules now have the same color as the (caffeinated) lungo?

Even after three years I still think it's stupid, because we keep all the capsules in a big pot and I'm never really awake before my coffee! Decaffeinated lungos should be clearly recognizable even when you're sleepy and without reading glasses!

Hello NaLeisi, thank you for your inquiry. Café Royal Decaffeinato is decaffeinated with CO2. CO2 and high pressure are used to release the caffeine from the beans. Hello Thank you for your prompt reply I can answer the questions as follows Machine type: TURMIX TX 160 PIXIE ART-NR: A 12157 / 020511 111 222 801 1787 88A 1CN Age??? > 4 years Capsule types: Café Royal Espresso Decaffeinato purchased on 18.02.2020, no more pack Café Royal Decaffeinato purchased on 04.03.2020 L 0000000009 2001774 Setting the water softener to 10 degrees of hardness. In my opinion, this is not the problem. The plastic capsule has a gradation at the end and is better guided by this when closing the machine. The coffee jet is nice and regular, whereas the aluminum capsule lacks this guide, which is why it is always crushed. The coffee only comes out drop by drop and the machine always switches off after 7 seconds. I hope that you will find a solution to the problem with this information. Yours sincerely, 0 replies
Hello Higa38, thank you for your feedback and the further information. We have made clarifications with the supplier. It is a major challenge to produce compatible capsules for a third-party system. This means that they have to be optimally accepted by different coffee machines. Nevertheless, the design must not be identical for patent reasons. Therefore, the applicability to compatible capsules is limited. Unfortunately, we cannot rule out such circumstances one hundred percent. However, we have already initiated material optimizations to further improve compatibility and the cup result. We will be happy to send you a small compensation. We recently switched to aluminum capsules. Unfortunately, these didn't work with our coffee machine. The capsule is either compressed or it just dribbles and the machine suddenly stops. It works perfectly with the Plasic capsules. Why was this change made? Is an improvement planned? I look forward to your reply and thank you in advance.

Dear Migros team Unfortunately, the new aluminum capsules no longer work at all in my Nespresso machine. The capsules are compressed far too much, which means that little or no water flows through. Unfortunately, this makes the capsules unusable. The fault is repeated systematically, now in the second pack. Am I just unlucky or is there a design fault? Can you clarify this? Thank you very much!
