After using it for the first time, the coating/paint on the underside comes off. Is this normal?

Are Teflon pans PFAS-free?
Hi Haasaenfuss, thank you very much for your question. Pans with a PTFE coating (i.e. Teflon) are not PFAS free. We have a Star series, a range of pans without PFAS and PTFE, in which items have a ceramic coating. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
