Hello everyone
Have any of you experienced that the pears on the shelf are often quite hard and unripe? This is a sign that the fruit is probably harvested too early.
The aroma is also not particularly good. This is particularly true of pears from overseas (New Zealand or South Africa).

I fully agree - but what annoys me the most are the various fingernail crescents in the peel that come from the "squeezing" buyers...
Incidentally, it's not just the pears that are rock hard - most of the other fruit is also sold unripe and without flavor. But that's the way it has to be :-(

Hello Kurt
That's right, other fruit such as nectarines are also considered rock hard.
I've also seen the problem with fingernails, there are customers who squeeze 20 or 30 fruits in their hands and then don't buy anything.
Migros needs to come up with something to prevent this.
Have a nice Sunday too
Greetings Heinz13
Thank you very much for your entry and the feedback on our pears.
We are very sorry that you are not satisfied with the pears you bought from us.
All products that are put on the shelves at Migros are checked for quality in advance and those that do not meet the requirements are not sold.
Unfortunately, however, it can happen from time to time that, despite the strict controls, products that do not meet our high standards reach the stores. Certain quality defects sometimes only become apparent after some time and are barely visible.
If you are not satisfied with a product in the future, you can of course go directly to a store and report it. They will take care of it and offer you a replacement if necessary.

I only buy the pears "rock hard". That way they keep for quite a long time in the fridge and I take them out to ripen. I also love them when they are still crunchy. Fresh from the fridge, cut into quarters and sprinkled with a little lemon, they taste particularly good for breakfast! To each his own taste ;-)
Why? You can only test, rate and make Migros even better if you're logged in.
