Grüezi Uncooked lentils contain toxins. How were the enclosed lentils prepared? Thank you for your answer and best regards Vaga

Hello Vagabonde80s, thank you for your inquiry. The lentils contained in this product are pre-cooked and dried. The complete muesli mixture is then baked again. The lentils are never used raw. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Why SO MUCH sugar? Couldn't I add it myself if I wanted to? And yes, then I can sweeten as much as I like. There are plenty of alternatives to cane sugar/whole cane sugar.

Hello Zucc8otto, thank you very much for your message. We add sugar to the recipe for Bio YOU Lentil Cacao because it is a crunchy muesli, i.e. a baked cereal mix. If we left out the sugar, the individual ingredients would not stick together and you would have a kind of baked müesli consisting of individual components. The bite would also no longer be crunchy, but rather soft. In addition, certain aromas are formed during baking (through caramelization and the Maillard reaction), which we would have much less of without sugar. However, we are aware of the issue of sugar and always try to use as little as possible in each recipe. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thanks for the explanation. At least it's raw sugar and correctly declared.

Wanted to buy it today...But 15g sugar per 100g. Cane sugar in it too. Why not without sugar? I personally look at the sugar content up to approx. 10-12% max is ok. I then bought another product at Müller with 4.4g sugar without cane sugar with coconut blossom nectar. So "No added sugar" products desired!

Hello waltli77, thank you for your input, we will be happy to pass it on to the relevant specialist department for suggestions. Whole cane sugar is added for flavor reasons. With regard to coconut blossom nectar or sugar, we would like to add the following: from a health point of view, it is no healthier than conventional sugar. Just like household sugar, coconut blossom nectar or sugar consists mainly of sucrose (80-95% sucrose, the rest is glucose and fructose). Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Thank you for your answer. The coconut blossom nectar was just an example. There should definitely be less sugar in it. As also mentioned, the product with the coconut blossom nectar only had 4.4g of sugar. There are also better oil options instead of sunflower oil... At least it doesn't have the cheap, highly refined and subsidized sugar in it :)

Processing in the same company with the same machines as for products containing milk proteins?

Hello Victoria94, the product itself does not contain any dairy ingredients, but any unintentional carry-over during production cannot be ruled out. This is why there is a trace warning on the packaging. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
