We are currently using plastic packaging for our eggs, as cardboard packaging is not available at the moment due to supply bottlenecks. To ensure that the eggs are still available, we had to switch to plastic at short notice. We plan to switch back to carton packaging in the next two weeks.
However, we have noticed that the switch from plastic to carton packaging has led to a drop in sales. We were able to compensate for this decline with the current plastic packaging. If this effect is confirmed again, we may stick with plastic packaging in the long term, as many customers apparently prefer the better visibility and handling.

Very fresh eggs are difficult to peel, which is why eggs that are to be cooked and dyed are usually stored for a few weeks. In addition, eggs laid by a young flock can also be difficult to peel. We assume that a combination of these facts was responsible for this deviation in quality. During the dyeing process, it is not always possible to completely avoid the possibility of some very fresh eggs being included. In such cases, we have no means of remedying the problem. Dear Migros I only buy organic eggs from Switzerland. But why this plastic packaging? Sure, because of the colors and the customer experience. But: You could pack them in cardboard just like the raw organic eggs (as already mentioned below). Solution: You could print the colors on the label so that the customer knows that they are dyed, cooked eggs or can see what colors they are. Please check.
