Hello. What material is the bag made of?
Hello Cyronika, thank you for your question. Our double-chamber tea bags are made exclusively from natural wood and banana leaf fibers, to which minimal amounts of a so-called wet strength agent are added during production. This is to make the filter paper tear-resistant. It bonds inseparably with the paper fiber and is insoluble in water. Unfortunately, it is not yet technically possible to manufacture tea bags, coffee filters or even tissues without wet strength agents without them disintegrating on contact with moisture. The tea bags are harmless to health according to all national and international European standards and can be disposed of in organic waste or garden compost. Only recyclable paper is used for the outer bags, which can be disposed of with waste paper. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
