I also bought a 30 liter bag of organic vegetable soil in mid-April 21 and have been struggling with a very heavy infestation of fungus gnats for a month now. I normally get a few of these midges under control with Solbac tabs and / or by sticking match heads in, but this very, very heavy infestation is almost impossible to deal with. I will definitely not be buying this soil again.
I bought this soil for the first time ever for my chili plants at the beginning of April and unfortunately had bad luck: despite very discreet watering, I had fungi and a very strong fungus gnat infestation and am still fighting it today with glue traps and anti-fungus gnat tablets; with moderate success. This season will probably be very costly with a modest yield... What a pity!
