The following four aquaculture standards are accepted for organic fish products according to the Migros organic guidelines: Bio Suisse, Naturland, Soil Association and Debio.
These four standards for organic fish and prawn farming stipulate the following requirements, among others:
Animal-friendly husbandry: the animals must have enough space to be able to perform their species-specific behavior. Organic farms set a maximum stocking density of 30 kg / m3 for trout; in conventional farms, the density can be more than twice as high.
-Feed: Ban on genetic engineering, only organic feed and sustainable fishmeal is permitted
Use of chemicals: ban on hormones or growth-promoting substances, homeopathic treatment is preferable in the event of illness
Other differences:
-Trout in an organic farm grow to slaughter size over 18 months, whereas conventional trout normally reach this size within 12 months
-Ban on air transportation. This is permitted for conventional products.
State-recognized and independent organizations monitor compliance with all guidelines.

the carton is easy to tear open, and the plastic film over the plastic tray can easily be cut open with a knife. and if you don't want to eat the whole fish, the packaging is unsuitable for further storage either way, cut open or torn open. better wrap it in foil or similar.
