6 questions
Was flour used in the drying process? In other words, do these figs contain gluten?
No. Ingredients containing gluten would be marked as FAT ingredients. WHEAT, OAT, RYE, BARLEY etc..
Hello Porridgelover, dried figs are not normally dusted and therefore do not contain any gluten-containing ingredients, and no carry-over is to be expected. If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, stating the gluten-containing cereals (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, etc.). Therefore: Check the list of ingredients! Traces due to possible carry-over in the production process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain" note ("may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten"). So if the list of ingredients simply says "figs", as in the case of organic figs, these are NOT floured. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Organic dried figs contained maggots. At most the packaging, it is no longer possible to determine exactly. In principle, it can probably be assumed that organic products also contain "organic" (?) Would an information campaign be called for at best: When is an organic product not suitable for consumption? Do I take the product back to the store? (The first three figs were quite fine. I only discovered the maggots afterwards 🙂
Hello PetersTipp, thank you very much for your report. We are sorry that you made such an unpleasant discovery in our figs. Please send your report directly to the responsible specialist via the contact form: https://www.migros.ch/de/services/kundendienst/infoline.html. We recommend that you include the best-before date and the adjacent production number of the packaging so that we can carry out more detailed checks straight away. Many thanks and best regards, your M-Infoline team

Do I regularly have small maggots on individual figs? It didn't bother me, the proof that it's organic ;) But could it also be a mistake in the production process?
Hello Curly, thank you for your question. We are sorry that the figs were infested with maggots. We have checked the retained samples and could not find any deviations in quality - there are no maggots or little animals present. The raw goods are randomly checked at the manufacturing plant. If the supplier detects anything, the goods are not sold. The company also has a pest monitoring system that detects pests during production. As the logs do not show any abnormalities, we assume that your figs have a one-off quality deviation. We apologize for this. Food moths prefer to lay their eggs in the seal seam of packaged food. After a few days, the maggots hatch. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to find out exactly when this happened. We have already informed our supplier about your message. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear M-Infoline team, as dried figs have not been available for several weeks, I would like to find out why this is the case and whether anything is already known about when (if) these figs will be back in the stores. With thanks and kind regards, maripac
Hello maripac Thank you for your interest. Unfortunately, the start of the fig season has been slightly delayed. The reason for this is the rainfall during the harvest, which delayed the drying of the figs. However, the organic figs will be available in our Migros stores within a very short time. Best wishes and enjoy! Your M-Infoline team

Organic figs have not been available in my store for about 6 weeks (delivery problems) what's going on? When will they be available again?
Hello Globa
Thank you for your question. I apologize that you are only hearing from us now.
The stocks of dried figs from this year's harvest are gradually running out. It is therefore possible that there may be a supply interruption in some stores. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to wait for the new harvest. This is expected to arrive around mid-October.
We hope for your understanding and wish you a wonderful day. Your M-Infoline Team
