I also recently bought the spoiled cinnamon: Marked Origine Sri Lanka 08:2027 L076422 06:15 240. The taste is disgusting, and it took me a while (and two dishes to throw away) to realize what was rotten. Dead animal (see Windar) hits the nail on the head. Question: If Migros has known for several weeks that there is a spoiled product on its shelves: Why is nothing done and this cinnamon recalled and customers warned against buying it with a clearly visible notice in the stores? What I find sad is that others who have complained, as can be seen below, are told that their own samples have no off-flavor. Strange really, of all things... And: what else might this garlic cinnamon have been contaminated with?
In my opinion, this cinnamon should have been recalled immediately.
I wonder how many households still have this cinnamon unused on their shelves. They'll find out in December at the latest...

I noticed that some of the jars of organic cinnamon are half empty and that the cinnamon has a nasty smell. I also find the color of the cinnamon a bit strange, very light. I had to return the cinnamon I bought (26.09.25). This icky smell has spoiled my fine Birchermüesli🤮
Concerns the organic cinnamon:
Production No. : L076422
Expiration date: 08.2027
Hello Claudia2018, thank you for your comment. We have discovered that the material from the batch in question was accidentally stored in our warehouse right next to garlic for three days before bottling. This proximity may have caused the cinnamon to take on the smell of the garlic. However, our own retained samples do not exhibit any foreign odor, which is why we cannot conclusively determine the exact cause. It is important to mention that our organic cinnamon is a natural product that can exhibit natural variations in color, taste and smell.
The grammage of spices cannot be determined based on the filling quantity. Underweight jars are sorted out during production. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I have had the same experience. The cinnamon I bought at the beginning of September (also L076422) has a strikingly light color and tastes really disgusting. So really disgusting, as if an animal had died in it.
Hello Windar, thank you very much for your feedback and for the photo. We are sorry that the cinnamon was not of the usual quality and that you were disappointed.
Our investigation has revealed that the material in this batch was inadvertently stored next to garlic for three days before bottling. This proximity may have negatively affected the odor of the cinnamon. Our retained samples do not show any foreign odor, but we understand that your perception may be different.
Regarding the strikingly light color, we would like to mention that our organic cinnamon is a natural product. Such products can have natural variations in color, taste and smell, but this does not change our claim to the highest quality.
We sincerely apologize for this incident and have already taken measures to avoid such storage errors in the future. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
It's interesting that I bought an organic cinnamon in the Coop yesterday as a replacement - it's also noticeably light in color and has a strange smell. Do you happen to use the same stock?

Why do I receive a double-sealed half-empty jar? Has the container changed?
Here is a picture without sealing
Hello Maja876, we are very sorry that our organic cinnamon has given you cause for complaint. So that we can trace the production, we would ask you to provide us with the best-before date and the lot number (begins with L and consists of letters and numbers). For now, we wish you a nice day. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I also noticed this.... both the color and the taste/smell. It could be garlic. But it's not for cinnamon stars!
Haha I made cinnamon stars on cinnamon star day on October 4th and they didn't turn out very well. I also thought the cinnamon smelled lomish
L076...
Hello Maja876, thank you for the photo. We introduced the additional cover under the lid to seal the packaging even better and increase product safety. As a result, the aroma of the cinnamon is retained for longer and the product is optimally protected. With regard to the filling level, we can assure you that the specified target quantity is always filled into each jar during filling. However, as our cinnamon is very finely ground, the powder can compact during transportation and storage, which can make the jar look "half empty". An actual lack of quantity is therefore extremely unlikely.
We have checked your batch and found that the material in the batch in question (L076422) was accidentally stored in our warehouse right next to garlic for three days before bottling. This proximity may have caused the cinnamon to take on the odor of the garlic. However, our own retained samples do not have any foreign odor, which is why we cannot conclusively determine the exact cause. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you very much, yes, the glass used to be smaller for the same quantity. Strange that it is higher now
