Why is the yogurt drink in the Grenchen Migros supermarket being offered with a low price tag?
Price increase from 1.85 to 2.15 Fr.
Mokka yoghurt drink in the Coop Biel Bözingen costs 1.95 Fr.
Why not cheaper than the discounters ????
Hello unihockey7, thank you for your inquiry. It is correct that we had to increase the price. Even low-price products are not immune to such adjustments. Nevertheless, the Bifidus Drink remains at discount level, which explains the corresponding label. Nevertheless, we are sure that you will be pleased to read that we are currently scrutinizing the calculations and that reductions will follow. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Discount level would be 1.90 CHF
Cheaper than at COOP.
Is back at 1.95...
Migros is aligning itself with Aldi and Lidl and no longer with Coop...

Update, Feb. 2025: It's ridiculous how this (and other) products have recently been labeled "low price". The price is neither lower than usual (on the contrary, the price is rising) nor compared to the competition (the corresponding products are the same price everywhere)!
Update April .25: The price has risen even further - I would still be interested in a response to the above question...
And dear @M-Infoline : if it is the same price as all other retailers, then it is not a "low price". It's an "equal price" or "normal price". In any case, it's nothing to write home about!
Low price is the current low price compared to discounters.
Aldi and Lidl have the same price.
Yup, @Dragonball that's exactly what I wrote. And I stand by it: if it's the same price as the competition, then it's not a "low price". It's ridiculous, and it's an attempt to take customers for fools.
Hello kairi76, thank you for your question. We have already discussed this topic below. The term "low price" is used to describe products that are permanently offered at the same price as in the discount sector. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Where is it an attempt to sell the customer short? It's commendable if Migros is at discount level for the articles...
If you were to look at the dairy at all retailers (in Switzerland and abroad), you would see that the prices of dairy products have risen very sharply...
These yellow slips of paper are and remain
an advertising gimmick (I'm not allowed to write the other word here).
Still cheaper at COOP.
Probably better shopping.
Does MIGROS actually employ hundreds of people to check the prices at Lidl&Aldi? Instead of negotiating with the suppliers? To get the best price!
Hi kairi76, thank you for your feedback. The item you mentioned is offered at a price of CHF 2.15, which is in line with prices at discounters such as Lidl and Aldi. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Now available again everywhere for 1.95

Price increase LOW PRICE !!!
Dear low price Migros
On 26.3.2025 this Bifidus Drink still cost CHF 1.85. NEW PRICE on 15.4.2025 is CHF 2.15.
This is a surcharge of 16%
Please justify this massive price increase. I think your low price advertising is just an advertising gimmick and does nothing for the customer!
Kind regards
Andreas
Hi corb590, thank you very much for your message and photo. We appreciate you contacting us with your request. This is the only way we can respond to your questions and help clarify the situation. There have indeed been price adjustments for this item. The term "low price" is used to describe products that are permanently offered at the same price as a competitor in the discount sector. This promise has also been kept with a price of CHF 2.15. Migros always strives for the best price-performance ratio and lowers prices wherever possible. Prices on the procurement market for raw materials, packaging materials and production costs fluctuate considerably in some cases. Unfortunately, it is therefore always possible for individual low-price items to become more expensive. Even in such cases, the low price promise will still be kept, so the price will remain at the discount level. We hope for your understanding and that this information is helpful for you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Thank you for your quick reply.
For your information, the "same" drink currently costs CHF 1.90 at COOP.
So nothing of discount level, or is COOP not a discounter?
Unfortunately, MIGROS is going downhill. What a pity. The quality of the fresh produce, fruit and vegetables is also declining rapidly.
Coop will certainly adapt sooner or later...

Is the caffeine content still the same as it was 11 years ago, or has something changed? I haven't found anything on the packaging.
Hello Fibifire, thank you for your inquiry. We have not made any adjustments to the recipe and/or changes to the technology. We are happy to confirm that the caffeine content is approx. 17mg / 100ml . Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

I have been buying this mocha yogurt drink for years. I always thought I was doing something good for my health with this drink. Today I took this drink off the shelf for the first time with the new packaging. And what do I see on it? A Nutri-Score E...! It doesn't get any worse than that...! Migros was obviously prepared to spend money on unnecessary new packaging. Wouldn't this money have been better invested in a healthier composition of ingredients?
Yogurt drink as healthy?
Well, one portion a day supports digestion, it's even directly under the Nutri-Score E... 😉
Maybe it does, but it remains a yogurt drink and not a healthy drink. There's nothing healthy about it. I don't think that's a bad thing. You should treat yourself, but not make a normal product worse because it should be healthier... People should start to understand nutritional tables and contents better. Don't believe everything the WHO says... or a Nutriscore...
Hello Migros-Kind_73, thank you for your suggestion. We have just recently adapted the recipe. We made this change to the recipe with the aim of improving the health aspect of the product. best regards, your M-Infoline team
Healthy? What kind of people do you have at Migros? Sugar, coffee extract+ 2.5%, caramel syrup, ........

Hello, I really like yoghurt drinks. But the Bifidus yoghurt drink mocha - which I used to like very much - no longer tastes good to me. It is so terribly sweet! Has the recipe been changed or am I simply used to less sweetened foods/drinks now?
Hello figi79, can you please give us the lot number and the best-before date? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
22.3.23 B was extremely sweet, almost undrinkable. We bought batch 22.03.23 A at the same time and it was as usual.
Hi figi79, we haven't changed the recipe. Of course, you may have become accustomed to less sweet products in the meantime. You will therefore be pleased to know that we are planning to reduce the sugar content of this drink. However, we are not yet able to give you an exact date. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello, my four-year-old grandson loves Bifidus Mocha. When he drinks it in the evening, he sometimes has trouble falling asleep. Hence the question: Does the drink contain caffeine in a concentration that my grandson can feel and that could affect his ability to fall asleep? How high is the caffeine content compared to a cup of normal coffee? Best regards, Hans
Hello Hans
Thank you for your question. The Bifidus Drink Mocca contains around 20 milligrams of caffeine per 100ml. This amount corresponds roughly to the content of 2 deciliters of iced tea or Pepsi or 2 tablespoons of filter coffee. Children react more sensitively to caffeine than adults, but the sensitivity varies greatly from person to person; if you have the feeling that the drink has a negative influence on falling asleep, then try a different flavor (Bifidus Drink Mango).
Best wishes from the M-Infoline team

Unfortunately, the Mocha Drink has become more watery and has also deteriorated in taste. The consistency of the Emmi Drink and Coop Drink is much better. I liked the drink, but now I have to give it up and go to Denner or Migrolino!
Hi guest
Thank you very much for your valuable comment.
It is a pity that you are not satisfied with the mocha drink and that it seems watery.
Our specialist department would like to check this more closely. To do this, we need the lot number and the M-Data of the bottle in question. Please provide us with this information.
We thank you in advance and wish you a pleasant day in the meantime.
Kind regards from the M-Infoline team
Hello guest, if I don't shake the mocha drink before drinking it, it is watery. Somehow the yogurt separates from the rest. I notice it when I'm at the end and all the yogurt is still in the bottle. Maybe they should put the words "shake well before use" on the bottle.
Hello greeneyes64, thank you for your tip. We will look into implementing it for the next packaging print. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Although, do you always have to write everything on the packaging? Shaking is a matter of course for me with this product, otherwise you also have to write "Not suitable for children and pregnant women" because of the caffeine - lid not suitable for children under 3 years - risk of swallowing, for vegans - contains milk, etc.

In itself, this is a good product, which I also liked very much, until one day I took a closer look at the nutritional table. 250ml cover 37% of the daily sugar intake ... so that's a whopping 74% for one bottle. Why does Migros (and other retailers) always mean so well by the domestic sugar industry? For the customer's health, less sugar would (also) be more!
Hello Miguel S.
We understand your concerns. If sugar is listed in the list of ingredients, this means sucrose, i.e. household sugar, which has been added to the product directly and/or indirectly (via fruit masses, etc.).
In the nutrition declaration, the sum of all types of sugar such as sucrose, glucose, lactose, starch, etc. is listed under carbohydrates. The subdivision into the term sugar in the nutrition declaration, on the other hand, only includes all sweet-tasting saccharides such as sucrose, dextrose, fructose or lactose.
We are aware of the problem of sugar in yogurt and are currently implementing a staggered sugar reduction in which we will progressively reduce the amount of added sugar. By the end of 2013, we will have reduced the sugar content of 45% of our yogurt range.
Kind regards from the M-Infoline team
Thanks for the detailed explanation, I have now studied the packaging more closely. But either way, the unhealthy aftertaste remains that a lot of sugar (namely 9%) + caramel sugar is added here. And that simply leaves me with almost 3/4 of my daily sugar requirement in one bottle.

Dear Migi Team
Why have you taken the old Moka yoghurt drink out of the range? The new one is 12% more expensive and has bacteria in it. But I don't want bacteria, I want a normal yoghurt drink. The bacteria can be sold as an addition to the range, but please offer the original drink again. It's cheaper and tastes better too. Until then, I'll have to go to the Coop to buy the yoghurt drink, which is still available there. A real shame and incomprehensible :(
Hello guest
Thank you for your contribution.
According to the current demand trend, many customers want a yogurt drink with a certain added value. We are aware that this does not apply to everyone, of course.
As you probably know, our space is limited and we can't offer as many products as we like.
But maybe you like the Légère version?
If it turns out that the mocha yoghurt drink is missed by everyone, we will be happy to look into reintroducing it. However, there is not enough demand at the moment.
We thank you for your understanding and wish you a nice weekend.
Best regards from the M-Infoline team
