Are there any ingredients or additives of animal origin (other than the specified ingredients) in the production process? For example, gelatine in the clarification of fruit juices. Thank you for your reply.
Hello migrosuser123, thank you for your question. Our manufacturer, JOWA AG, always uses vegetable fats and oils or butter for the production of bread and baked goods. Any ingredients that could come from an animal are clearly listed on the list of ingredients. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Are the doughnuts deep-fried in pork fat?
Who fries with pork fat? Vegetable fats, oils, clarified butter... are used, of course.
@Rhyfallforelle Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately this is not at all unusual, please inform yourself before you reply so kindly next time.
I'm just of the opinion that the food industry certainly doesn't use pork fat/lard in general, otherwise it would have to be declared, wouldn't it? There are so many vegetarians and vegans nowadays. Sure, there isn't a vegan doughnut yet! And I certainly don't fry chips and other things with pork fat in my private life. Greetings.
Hello Lola100100, thank you for your inquiry. We only use vegetable fats and oils or butter in the production of our bread and baked goods. This means no animal slaughter fats, no pork fat and no lard, with the exception of greaves in our specialty greaves sticks. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

E471 vegetable or animal?
Dear Yasemin90 The emulsifier E 471 in the doughnuts is of vegetable origin. We would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to our information sheet "Additives of animal origin", which you can find on the Migros website: http://www.migros.ch/generation-m/de/essen-und-trinken/ernaehrungsweisen-allergien/vegetarier-veganer.htmlMit. With the help of the information sheet, you can answer many of your questions yourself without having to go to the trouble of writing to us. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
Unfortunately, this link can no longer be opened. Is such a leaflet still available?
Hello Lola100100, the information sheet no longer exists. However, we would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the information provided by the nutrition department on the migros.ch website at the following link: https://help.migros.ch/de/fachstelle-ernaehrung.html. There you will find, among other things, a brochure on the subject of additives, which also contains information on additives of animal origin, gelatine and gelling agents as well as the labeling of products as vegetarian or vegan. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
