Since the brand has changed, the taste is also completely different and not at all comparable to the quince jelly from before. It used to be the family's favorite jelly, but now nobody likes it anymore. Was it necessary to change something so tried and tested for the worse?
Hello Cielemare, as you have correctly noted, we have changed the recipe for this item. This was due to the change of brand to Belle Journée. The fruit content has been increased from 45% to 50%, which should actually contribute to a more intense taste. In addition, the Brix value was reduced from 61 to 57. The Brix value indicates how many dissolved sugars there are in a liquid solution. This adjustment has no effect on the taste. We are happy to check our retained samples. Why has the composition and texture of the jelly been changed? It was a family favorite. It's no longer a jelly, the taste and texture have changed too much. Isn't it possible to brown it the way it used to be?
