Hello, I have been using this shampoo for about 15 years. I recently did some research and noticed that it contains microplastics. Would it be possible for you to adapt the formula and do without microplastics? After all, the shampoo advertises itself as being natural and containing good ingredients.
Hello bubblebubb, thank you for your message about the shampoo. Migros takes the issue of water pollution by microplastics seriously. We have acted accordingly. Migros has included a ban on plastic exfoliating particles in its specifications for cosmetics suppliers. This applies to the products of our own brands. Our own industry, Mibelle AG, replaced microplastics (plastic exfoliating particles) in all cosmetics and toothpastes with alternative particles of natural origin several years ago. The acrylate polymers and other soluble polymers mainly used in cosmetics are biodegradable. Passing them through sewage treatment plants eliminates them completely from waste water. Unlike microplastic particles, they do not accumulate in the environment. Furthermore, they are completely non-toxic to aquatic organisms. If you want to avoid synthetic ingredients such as soluble polymers, Migros offers certified natural cosmetics under the I am Natural Cosmetics label. We produce these on the basis of plant-based ingredients. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
