I have a small questions for you. It’s my first time having this delicious Bananita-Roulade, and then I started to wonder after I took my first bit. And that is if you use just straight bananas for the cake or if you “brake” bananas to fit in the roulade?

Hi NorwegianGuy, thank you for your question. First, the cream is spread on the biscuit, and the banana is then pressed on top. We try to avoid receiving too many crooked bananas from our supplier. If it is nevertheless somewhat crooked, break it once or twice. We then fill these cracks with cream and roll up the roulade. That is the trick. Kind reards, your M-Infoline Team

Is it legally required to declare if it has minimal alcohol? Does this roulade have to be refrigerated? I only know that the Milka "Tender" roulade says: Contains alcohol, for "longer shelf life".

Hello everyone, we state on the packaging that the bananita roulade must be stored in a cool place. Ethanol is contained in the banana preparation as a preservative. It is not baked. The final product contains approx. 0.03 % ethanol. According to the current provisions of Swiss food legislation, the addition of alcohol (in the form of wine, schnapps, etc.) must be declared in the list of ingredients. An explicit reference to alcohol in the product is not mandatory. For foods and drinks that contain more than 0.5% alcohol by volume, Migros voluntarily prints the words "contains alcohol" or "contains alcohol: not suitable for children". It's a real shame about the palm oil, but the roulade is sooo delicious and goes down well as a gift. How do you shape the bananas so straight?

Hello moz

The bananas used are naturally crooked. How do we get them straight? After peeling, the tips are cut off at the front and back and the fresh bananas are placed in the roulade by hand. During this process, the bananas are pressed straight and then the roulade is immediately rolled. In this way, our confectioners ensure that we do not have to use crooked packaging and that you can enjoy the roulade with straight bananas.

Best regards from the M-Infoline team
