How can this (Swiss) corn be offered all year round? Is it frozen or otherwise preserved?

Why are the corn on the cob so expensive compared to the canned M-Classic corn kernels? I can't explain it, canned corn should be more expensive in terms of processing...

The price of fresh corn on the cob is not comparable to that of canned products. The canned corn products you mentioned are mainly from industrial production. Our fresh corn on the cob comes from artisan companies in Switzerland. What's more, these are whole cobs that have been selected by hand. An additional cost factor is of course the cold chain and the management of fresh, chilled products.
