Why do fresh products have regional prices?
Hi munggizzi, Migros does not consist of a head office and a network of branches that report to it and are all allocated the same product range. The 10 regional cooperatives are largely autonomous, and the Federation of Migros Cooperatives has so far acted as a service and coordination center. For example, we stock certain products, especially everyday essentials, in all cooperatives, while others are only available on an optional basis in individual cooperatives. In addition, the individual cooperatives purchase products - especially fresh produce - independently on a regional basis, which they sell in their own store network.
