Again and again the salad smells of "cellar" - and very intensely! Tiptop after washing again. Observed last year and again now. Regardless of the storage period. Only observed with lamb's lettuce and only with Mirgos (never smelled it at Coop, not with any lamb's lettuce pack, not even with other suppliers such as Landi or similar).

Products that meet our criteria pass through the washing and spinning process before they reach the packaging. To maintain freshness, the bags are filled with a protective gas. In view of the frequency you have described, it is reasonable to assume that the trigger for your experience is due to the mixture of oxygen, argon, carbon dioxide and nitrogen used. This is intended for the food industry and is harmless to health. Depending on the intensity, however, the aroma may seem unappetizing.
