Why has the baking tray of the puff pastry recently been made of pure plastic? In this day and age with a supposed eye on sustainability and using less plastic, I don't understand the regression from cardboard packaging to plastic. I would like a statement.
Hello Fuchur123, thank you for your question. Our specialist department confirms that we decided to make this adjustment because with the new shape, the dough in the tray no longer contracts, so no more icing gets between the dough and the baking tray. The tray is now also more stable, previously it was difficult for customers to transport a filled baking tray into the oven. The switch to the new material is a step backwards from an ecological point of view - we recognize that. Nevertheless, we have decided to make the switch in order to ensure a perfect baking result first and foremost. We are already testing alternatives that are both more environmentally friendly and do not compromise the quality of the product. This process will take some time, so please be patient. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why can't it be done without palm oil - puff pastry should contain butter!
Hi hkp, thank you for your question. It is also possible without palm oil, e.g. with Anna's Best butter puff pastry. This does not contain palm oil. Puff pastry with palm oil is particularly suitable for people with a lactose intolerance or people who want to follow a vegan diet. We hope we have answered your question and wish you a good weekend!
