I have just bought this bread in the store in Kirchberg BE. Nutriscore A is printed on the bag. Just like here in the picture. Next to it was the same bread with Nutriscore C on the bag. At the bottom of the nutritional value table it also says Nutriscore C. Very confusing!
What actually applies now? Please correct it!
Hello michusigi, the calculation logic, the so-called algorithm of the Nutri-Score, was recently updated by the label provider (Santé Publique France). The adjustments eliminate certain "teething troubles" of the Nutri-Score, which can certainly occur in a pioneering project. The updated calculation logic is more differentiated and better reflects scientific nutritional recommendations: salt and sugar are assessed more strictly and higher requirements are set for protein and fiber content. Unfortunately, these adjustments have had a negative impact on many breads. For example, the original arable grain bread is now rated with a C. Hello, could you explain what you mean by "arable land"? In the literal sense, cereals necessarily all come from arable land (except in the case of laboratory production). There must be another meaning that escapes me. The translation in the application seems clearer to me for French speakers: pain aux céréales anciennes. Thank you very much!
