1 question

A quick visit to migros, some mineral, butter, milk and flour were on my list...
Well then I enter and stand there in front of the shelf and see various american favorites muffins. (Well, I'm definitely just too fond of everything that has anything even remotely American on it and then I always taste it to see if it tastes like my favorite city...) Three of them, blueberry, nougat and choco, all wrapped (they are always examined piece by piece at home to keep an eye on the competition :-), joking aside I just love baking too much and always get new ideas and suggestions). Well then I go on and suddenly I see american favorites pancakes - yaaammmmi! they also end up in the trolley, but the maple syrup is empty at home, luckily it's stored two shelves away :-) but now I see the apple pie next to the pancakes!well ok, it's still on the migros shelf (my wisdom tooth is giving me second thoughts and I can't eat everything at once, kids and husband only eat home-baked food...)...but tomorrow I have another visit coming up, can I resist again?!?hmmm...we'll see.
But now I'm looking forward to the tasting and it would be great if I could rate the products on migipedia soon...
Oh right, I personally find the toast a little too dry. And I have to agree with the previous speaker that I now avoid migros when it comes to toast bread and switch to the cheap line from the competition.

elchbaerli, where do you shop? the muffins, pancakes and pies sound sooo delicious! i actually only like home-made things too, especially cakes and cookies. but sometimes you can also buy something (but it MUST be just right ;-) )

@Skade7: Yep, I was just wondering what kind of Migros it is where elchbaerli was!!!!???? My mouth is watering, although of course I also prefer to bake myself! But at the same time, I also like to try out as many new products as possible :-)!!!!

@Luna l.,@skade7: I found all this in the medium-sized migros branch in effretikon (eastern switzerland). And I was proudly able to resist the apple pie today. Now it's time to test the muffins and pancakes first...maybe it will be something on saturday, then I would still have our visit as an excuse ;-)

ouu, it's not on my way at all. in that case, I'll have a look at glatt, it's an MMM. Thanks for the tip :) and good luck waiting ;-)

@elchbaerli: Thanks for the tip! it's not close to me either, but if that was an ordinary Migros then it will probably also be available in an MMM Migros in Basel, otherwise I'll probably make a trip to the Glattzentrum ;-)

sodeli, was in migros. so here you can also get the donuts with chocolate coating or just sugared, giant chocolate muffin with chocolate chips and muffin with nougat filling, hamburger bun, cake slice (chocolate and vanilla?) and bagels to bake. i didn't find the pie. so all from this brand. but not much has changed, i think, because the packaging is just different. the donuts, for example, were already available before...

I've only seen donuts with the red icing and some monster cookies...
Pieces of cake?!?!?
I also think it's mainly the packaging, but that's what appealed to me straight away (well, like almost every other advertisement :-\ )... i still haven't gotten around to trying them...yesterday the budget cookies got in the way and today our afternoon snack at home fell through :'(
I didn't see any bagels here, but unfortunately the "normal" ones were only available for a short time...

right, i forgot about the cookies. they are with chocolate chips. and the donuts with pink icing i saw this afternoon, they were on sale because they expired today. a nice amount i have to say... and they were also normal sized. job so cakey. the donuts i mentioned above are the small ones. 4 pieces in a pack. in addition to the plum pockets, nut bars etc. that are freshly baked in the branch, there are also normal sized donuts with icing and filling for CHF 1.50. they are also quite tasty.

The pancakes and the nougat muffin have been eaten, to start with both turned out quite well, the pancakes a little better than the nougat muffin. I've put the packaging and all the details to one side, and would like to leave a rating for each item (@migipedia team: I hope these new or repackaged items will be posted soon)...
@skade7: exactly, the small donuts are also repackaged, but I've never really liked them. And the kids like the ones in the "open sale", but they're a bit too bland and somehow dry for me, despite the filling
And who knows, maybe there will be apple pie tomorrow after all ;)

Hello everyone
Thank you very much for your comments.
Migros is launching an American line as of 30.04.2013. Some of these products can already be found in the stores, as this is a rolling changeover.
Under the name "American Favorites", Migros is bringing you 40 typical American breads, pastries and convenience products. These are existing products, such as the mini donuts, which are being integrated into the line and given a new look, but of course there are also many new products, such as the American Favorites Applepie. This will be available in all larger Migros stores. Let us surprise you with our new products!
We wish you a wonderful start to spring.
Best wishes from your M-Infoline team

Many thanks for the info to m-infoline!
I've already tried the chocolate muffin :-) looking forward to trying and rating the products :-D thanks!

So I tried cookies and chocolate muffins and thought they were good ;-)... Pancakes still in the fridge and I'm still dreaming of apple pie, I haven't found it, maybe I don't have it!
Or where do I have to look for it? Refrigerated shelf or not refrigerated?
And are the muffins made by the Ölz company (it only says Elaboré en Austriche)? I've bought them in a double pack at Coop or Denner before! And this chocolate muffin seemed extremely similar to these!!!???? The other one with nut chocolate is still waiting to be tried ;-)
LG Luna

@Luna l.: the apple pie is chilled, I had it right next to the pancakes. At the moment I can't find any more of either :-(
"Release" is actually only on April 30th - and now I just remembered that I forgot to keep an eye out for the brownie farmer.
I also spotted some chilled brownies from american favorites on Saturday, yum! And I also found the pieces of cake I mentioned... soooo much assortment and I still don't know when I'll try it all, luckily my children are addicted to bikes at the moment, so the calories they've eaten will go away :-)

Aach soo I didn't know that the release is only then... Waaas refrigerated brownies "big eye power" cake pieces? I also forgot to look at the brownie farmers the day before yesterday :-/... Yeah tell me nothing is really great so many new things I would love to buy everything but as I'm single I couldn't eat everything and many of the new things only have a very short shelf life! It's great that there are bagels again (I haven't bought any yet due to lack of space and because there are other things I need to finish). But that will be done soon :-)!!! And luckily I'm also addicted to cycling and the weather is finally improving so I can pedal away the calories I've eaten ;-)

Ah yes, I saw the cake pieces next to the monster cookies! I didn't buy them because I prefer to bake my own lemon cake (I've never really liked store-bought ones) and chocolate cake, well, I never really like store-bought cakes or cakes because the consistency doesn't suit me somehow as they probably mix something in to make it more durable which then gives this result... And cookies I meant the other new varieties in the big box with macadamia nut and double chocolate! I also left the monster ones on the shelf ;-) rather one after the other. And I already knew the doughnuts, they just got new packaging.

Hello Luna L.
Thank you for your interest.
The Appelpie can be found in larger stores and is chilled - so it can be found in the chilled confectionery.
Please understand that producers and manufacturers are an internal matter that we do not communicate to the outside world.
We wish you an enjoyable weekend - your M-Infoline team
