I have the following questions about Alnatura coconut oil (which is not neutral in taste, i.e. the jar with the label with the blue stripe) - is the oil: - not hardened and refined, - not deodorized and bleached, - free from trans fatty acids and any additives, - 100% from fresh fruit pulp, - up to almost 60% from lauric acid? Unfortunately, nothing is noted on the jar.
Hello Ebbi, thank you for your inquiry. For Alnatura coconut oil, the coconuts are processed directly after harvesting. First, the fresh coconuts are peeled and the flesh is chopped. This is then dried and pressed. Trans fatty acids can arise in particular through the industrial hardening of fats. Alnatura virgin coconut oil is not hardened or treated in any other way. It is a cold-pressed oil. We do not have any analyses of the lauric acid content. This can fluctuate naturally. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

It's almost 6 months since this Natives oil has gone off the shelves. Any idea when it will be back in stock again?
Hello SRAO, unfortunately there is a delivery interruption for this item. We expect to receive new goods in mid-September. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The coconut oil is currently missing from the shelves in the Migros in my area. When will it be available again?
Hello hugorossi, in which region do you miss the coconut oil? Best regards, your M-Infoline team
In Migros Aare - specifically in the Bernese Oberland, from Thun to Brienz.
Hello hugorossi
Our specialist department has informed us that the product will probably not be available for some time due to quality problems. Unfortunately, we are currently unable to say how long the interruption will last. As an alternative, we can recommend Alnatura coconut oil neutral, article number 1030.455. In the Bernese Oberland region, this article is available at the following locations: Thun Oberland Center, Thun Panoramacenter, Thun Bälliz, Dürrenast, Hünibach, Spiez, Steffisburg Unterdorf, Uetendorf and Heimberg. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
What exactly are the quality problems? The product is still on sale at Alnatura in Germany.
Hello hugorossi, thank you for your feedback. At the moment the quality is not satisfactory. This is the reason why the oil is currently not available. We are working hard to find a solution and ask for your understanding that we are not allowed to reveal any more. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hopefully you will find a solution soon, the oil is excellent in terms of taste and price.
I contacted Alnatura Germany directly about this, and this was the answer: "We can very well understand your uncertainty. One batch did not meet the quality requirements in some cases, so this product was withdrawn from sale by our trading partner in Switzerland as a precautionary measure. We are in close contact with our manufacturing partner. They have already implemented optimization measures to ensure consistent product quality in the future. The product should therefore be available again in Switzerland in the near future. As long as you do not notice any deviation in recently opened jars, it cannot be assumed that there is a quality defect."

Does the coconut oil have an unchanged component and composition of lauric acid after processing with steam?
Hello Nadjane, thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately, we do not have any analysis values for lauric acid content, and these can fluctuate. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

This is no longer native. Why not? Mine here still is and is labeled accordingly.
Hello curley, for some time now there has been a special Swiss version of virgin coconut oil without the word "virgin" on it. The reason for this was an instruction from the Zurich cantonal laboratory at the time.
The recipe and production process are unchanged. However, the word "virgin" may no longer be printed on it. The word "neutral" is still permitted on neutral coconut oil. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
What did the Zurich Cantonal Laboratory find so disturbing about the term "native" that it had to be removed?
Hi curley, this coconut oil is made by pressing the coconut meat without adding heat. The supplier has assured us that no refining processes are used. However, as the coconut meat is dried beforehand, the product may no longer be labeled as virgin. This is because the virgin rule does not stipulate any further processing steps. Can this coconut oil also be distorted raw or is it suitable for this?
Hello PMVogel, Alnatura coconut oil can also be consumed unheated. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

what is the difference between virgin and neural coconut oil?
Hello mja_g, thank you for your inquiry. The native coconut oil is rather sweet, as it is not processed to any great extent. With neutral coconut oil, the flavours are neutralized so that the coconut taste is very slight. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

What kind of plantations do the coconuts for oil extraction come from? Are they small farmers' cooperatives or larger companies that supply the nuts? How should we imagine this?
Hello GuyCH, thank you for your inquiry. The coconuts themselves come from small cooperatives. After harvesting, they are taken to a processor where they are processed into a semi-finished product. They are then finished in Europe. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello What does "vegan" mean for this coconut oil? Can it be ensured that the coconuts used were not harvested with the help of Erne monkeys? Kind regards
Hello GeniaB, Alnatura comments as follows: We are pleased to inform you that the coconuts for Alnatura coconut oil are harvested by humans and not by trained monkeys. The coconut oil contains no animal ingredients and is therefore vegan. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Today, vegan is used as a quality label, even for things that can only be vegan anyway, or gluten-free. It's all the rage.
