Why is coconut water pasteurized? I still understand it for coconut drink/milcj. With water, you want to benefit from the valuable nutrients (electrolytes), don't you?
Hello Aleks_Matic
Without pasteurization, the coconut water would not have a long shelf life. Short-term heating has no effect on the electrolytes.
Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
How high and for how long is it heated? Vitamin C is a little trickier when it comes to heating.
Hello Aleks_Matic
As already mentioned, the Alnatura Cocodrink Natur is preserved by heating. To do this, the coconut water is heated to over 100 °C for a few seconds, then quickly cooled down again and then bottled.

Anyone who has ever drunk direct coconut juice cannot take the word "direct juice" seriously in this context. A preservation or processing procedure must have taken place here. How is this juice extracted from the nut and bottled?
Hello GuyCH, I would be happy to explain the process to you. For the Coco Drink, the pure coconut water is bottled without any other additives. The coconut is harvested unripe and green, as only then is the liquid still transparent and watery. In a ripe coconut, the coconut water would already have turned into milk. The Coco Drink is heated and pasteurized to preserve it. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I would like to know which countries the coconuts come from and whether the juice comes from young green coconuts? Also, please provide information on the preservation process used?
Why the steep price increase from CHF 2.30 to CHF 2.45?
Hello behil, thank you for your question. All the savings we make in purchasing are passed on to our customers in the form of lower prices - conversely, however, we are also forced to pass on higher purchase prices. As the price of the euro has risen significantly against the Swiss franc recently, the products we import from the EU have become more expensive. As a result, the selling prices of the items concerned have also risen accordingly. We ask for your understanding. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Elsewhere, @M-Infoline wrote: "The logistics costs have increased due to the new packaging, and only in Migros' logistics process. Alnatura delivers all items in cartons. However, we still have to repackage them in our M-containers as our logistics process is not designed for cardboard (M-container = value-added container). The change in packaging meant that the CU/TU ratio could no longer be maintained, which led to an increase in costs."

There seems to be a mix-up with the product images here. It would be handy if you could see the right drink straight away. The other products don't quite fit either.
Hey Migroleum, We will correct this error as soon as possible - thanks for letting us know! Best regards, your M-Infoline team
