Is this palm oil safe, or how can it be that Alnatura uses palm oil?

The palm oil or palm fat used in Alnatura products is certified organic and comes from organically managed plantations, usually in South America. The plantations there were grown exclusively on land that was previously used for agricultural purposes (usually as pasture). This ensures that no virgin forest or primary forest is destroyed.
