Hello everyone. Is the bar gluten-free? Since oats would be gluten-free in principle, depending on how they are processed. It doesn't say anything about "may contain gluten". Thank you very much.
If a product contains gluten-containing ingredients, this must be openly declared, stating the cereals containing gluten (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, oats, etc.). Ingredients containing gluten must not be "hidden"! Traces due to unintentional mixing in the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the list of ingredients with a "may contain gluten" or "may contain traces of gluten". Best regards Frederica
Thank you for the detailed answer. Theoretically, one would then have to assume that this product is gluten-free. Since oats do not contain gluten, unless they have been processed in a plant that also processes cereals containing gluten. For people with coeliac disease, it would therefore be even better to use the term "gluten-free oats".
Hi immerhungrig, the Alnatura oat bar is NOT suitable for people with coeliac disease! Conventional oats - such as those used to make the Alnatura oat bar blueberry, 104219500000 - are not suitable for people with coeliac disease as there is a relatively high risk of contamination! As oats are a gluten-containing grain according to food regulations, there is no indication of traces on the product. Only oat products in which the oats have been specially produced and are not contaminated with gluten-containing grains such as wheat, rye etc. are suitable for people with coeliac disease. This is the case, for example, with the organic aha! oat flakes (1042.070). For this reason, these oat flakes can be called gluten-free. It is explicitly stated on the packaging: Gluten-free, with oats. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Great, many thanks for the info :-)

Why produce another product that could be healthy with so much sugar?
Hello iten_rahel, thank you very much for your comment. The rice turp contained in this product is important for its cohesion. If the proportion were to be reduced, the consistency would change significantly. We can assure you that the recipe is always put together very carefully. Taste, appearance and consistency are tested in several tastings. The recipe that performs best is implemented. Unfortunately, however, we cannot always satisfy every taste and preference.
