Hello Patricia, thank you for your interest. A full declaration is always used for Alnatura products. This means that all ingredients are listed in the ingredients list. The collective terms "herbs" and "spices" are an exception on some products. This actually only refers to herbs and spices without any other additives. No preservatives or similar are used in the jar of Alnatura pure apple either. The product is preserved by heating. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
