Dear Migros, I've been missing a lactose-free (or plant-based) white chocolate for decades. Do you have anything planned in this regard?

Hello Code123, thank you for your inquiry. There are currently no plans to add such a variant to our range. However, we are open to suggestions and ideas. Hi I wanted to know if this chocolate is also gluten free?

Hi Rosdido, the product aha! Milk Chocolate contains no gluten-containing ingredients, nor should any traces of gluten be expected. If a product has gluten-containing ingredients, it must be explicitly declared by stating the grains that contain gluten (wheat, spelt, rye, barley, oats, etc.). It is not permissible to "hide" gluten-containing ingredients! In addition, ingredients that contain gluten must be specially highlighted in the ingredient list, e.g. in bold or capital letters (examples: wheat starch, WHEAT flour). So: pay attention to the ingredient list! Any traces due to unintentional mixing during the manufacturing process must be indicated at the end of the ingredient list by the words "May contain gluten" or "May contain traces of gluten." Sincerely, Your M-Infoline Team

Hi, some very kind Swiss relatives of mine brought me what I might call a lifetime supply of your lactose-free milk chocolate. However, "melted butter" appears among the ingredients, without specifying whether this in turn is also lactose-free. Is this lactose-free butter? Thank you in advance for your reply. English: Hello, some swiss relatives of mine gifted me a life-worthy stock of your chocolate bars (lactoise free ones). On the other hand, checking the list of the ingredients, I found that there are no specification about "melted butter" being lactoise free. Is It so or not? Thank you for your kindness.

Hi Daniele Products marked with the aha! quality label and characterized as "lactose-free" or "milk-free" are designed for people who are lactose intolerant. The aha! quality label is awarded by the institute Service Allergie Suisse SA to products and services that are manufactured, marked and distributed with full consideration of allergy and intolerance issues. The products are checked by independent bodies as part of a rigorous three-level certification procedure. The aha! lactose-free chocolate has a residual lactose content Dein M-Infoline Team

too bad it's not vegan, like the lactose-free chocolate from the orange competition. does migros intend to change this in the future?

Hello Celinem Thank you for your inquiry. We currently have the dark chocolates in our range as "vegan" chocolate, which contain at most traces of milk. However, a vegan chocolate "milk chocolate type" is being planned. Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

Thank you for your reply, I'm pleased that a vegan milk chocolate is being planned. Hopefully it will also be Fairtrade and palm oil-free, as many vegans pay attention to this.

I am allergic to milk protein and lactose. Are these aha products completely dairy-free, or are they made with lactose-free milk?

Dear guest
Products with the aha! seal of quality are optimized with regard to one or more allergens. The allergy triggers (e.g. lactose, gluten etc.) are clearly indicated on the front of the packaging. A lactose-free product is not necessarily milk-free (e.g. lactose-free milk). Milk chocolate is not.
If you fancy something "chocolatey", you could try our Sojaline Crème Choco or the gluten-free Chocolate Chips Cookie.
We hope this helps you and wish you a nice day.

Any news on the possible white chocolate? I would be delighted.

Hello Stella-joy
Thank you for your interest in our lactose-free chocolate.
Unfortunately, we can't tell you anything new about this yet. However, your suggestion is still on our list for the next product range review.
We hope for your patience and wish you a sunny afternoon.

dear migros...
thank you for the christmasy packaging of this chocolate... but what's the point behind it? why not use the money used for this to improve the chocolate or to create a real special edition with nuts or grapes in it... but to package the chocolate differently just because it's christmas/winter is a bit pointless in my opinion.

Hello Murmeli
Thank you very much for your valuable feedback.
Unfortunately, we currently only have one milk chocolate from aha! The packaging has been seasonalized so that our customers with lactose intolerance can also buy a Christmas product. G
We are happy to take on board your input regarding the structure of our product range and will try to take this into account whenever possible in the next product range revision.
Best regards, your M-Infoline team

oh yes that would be great if there was a bit of variety with nuts, raisins or whatever :)

Dear Migros, these products are certainly a step forward. However, it has been proven that most people do not tolerate lactose, but milk protein. So lactose-free products are not helpful. Please add more products to your range that do not contain any cow's milk.

Hello guest
We do not have any chocolate in our range that is completely free from animal ingredients. Market observations also show no such demand.
However, we would be happy to take your input on board.

No need???? There are very many people who are allergic to COW MILK WHITE. The widespread opinion that it is mostly due to lactose is wrong (according to my doctor too). But if Migros turns a blind eye,....... it's nothing new. It's a shame that we have to go to the health food store for such low wages............

Please, just because YOU can't tolerate the protein doesn't mean you have to make sweeping generalizations and hurl such a cheeky AW at Migros!
If it was the milk protein in my case, why do I tolerate dairy products after taking Lactrase?

So please... Lactose intolerance is still the most common intolerance to milk! Of course, some people also cannot tolerate the protein in milk... However, in the case of protein intolerance, the enzyme is often only present less frequently and digestion is not fully adjusted (in contrast to lactose intolerance). In addition, there is also the even rarer intolerance to milk fat, where digestion is also restricted, but not completely "switched off".
That's why I think it's great that Migros also offers lactose-free chocolate.
Because all those who can tolerate the lactose but not the protein can eat a few pieces of the "real" chocolate without any problems.... This is not the case for people with lactose intolerance

It doesn't really matter which intolerance is worse, it would be nice if there was a suitable product for all needs. I suffer from a total milk intolerance (lactose, protein, fat) and I'm really happy every time I find a product that I can eat instead of being annoyed when a product isn't available for me. Compared to other countries, Switzerland and Migros are quite well equipped when it comes to such special products and we can be happy that we have so many delicious things at all

We may have "no need" if we have a need, because there is no vegan version of chocolate either.
As a vegan, you are faced with around 80 varieties of biscuits with skimmed milk powder, egg and butter... Even Blevita, unlike Darvida, has skimmed milk powder in every variety. If you don't have a choice, you don't have one - unless you buy elsewhere - unfortunately :(

Okey, chocolate is probably never a "need" in the narrower sense, except perhaps a "luxury need"... Nevertheless, I am in favor of the introduction of vegan Fairtrade (milk) chocolate, Swiss made of course. Maybe then vegans would have a reason to visit the confectionery section of Migros again. Because at the moment you can hardly find anything suitable for vegans there...

Migros seems to be making a mental error here: a purely plant-based chocolate fulfills all the criteria of a lactose-free chocolate, but also those of milk protein allergy sufferers, animal lovers, vegans, etc. It has also been proven that a chocolate with lots of cocoa without milk is much healthier.
So there is no reason to make a lactose-free chocolate with animal products except that the manufacturer does not know how to make a good vegan chocolate. This would be unfortunate, however, as foreign competitors (and Coop) have long been able to do this.

Hello guest
Thank you very much for your feedback.
We will be happy to include your request for a vegan chocolate in the next product range revision.
We are committed to knowing that you are a satisfied Migros customer and look forward to hearing from you in the future. Your M-Infoline team

The user tag at the top right "V-Label" is not correct. The product does not carry the V-label. However, the similar (purely plant-based lactose-free) chocolate from Coop has the V-label.

Hello guest

Thank you for your comment. That is correct, the chocolate does not carry the V label. We have passed it on so that the error can be corrected.
