The statement "75% extract" is somewhat vague: it does not clearly state how many mg of extract are contained per capsule and, above all, how much S-allyl-cysteine (SAC) is contained - and this is an important standardized active ingredient in black garlic.
Can this be corrected?
Hello RBI_8166, the list of ingredients states "75 % black garlic extract". This percentage refers to the proportion of the extract in the total capsule content. Specifically, this means that each capsule contains 360 mg of black garlic extract.
At the recommended daily dose of 2 capsules, this corresponds to 720 mg of black garlic extract. The extract used has a drug-extract ratio (DER) of 10:1. This means that
1 part extract is obtained from 10 parts fermented black garlic.
360 mg extract per capsule therefore corresponds to around 3,600 mg (3.6 g) of fermented black garlic powder. At 2 capsules per day, this corresponds to 7,200 mg (7.2 g) of fermented black garlic powder.
The content of fermented garlic is within a range that is customary in the market and in line with comparable preparations. According to the literature, the SAC (S-allyl-cysteine) content in black garlic is significantly higher than in fresh garlic. However, our raw material is not standardized to SAC (S-allyl-cysteine), but only to the 10:1 content. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
