Tested with a spoon and plain basmati rice.
This sauce has a very subtle flavor on its own.
When paired with a food that has a strong flavor (meat, fish), it could perhaps add a little something extra, but more like a condiment (salt, pepper) than a main sauce.
P.S.:
Tested with refried beans from the same brand. When used in the same proportion as mustard, this sauce adds a very pleasant freshness. The heat of the chili pepper is considerably reduced.
That's why, under these conditions, I'm upgrading my rating from two to four stars.
It is the spiciest Migros product I have ever tasted, straight from the spoon. The word "mild" is not appropriate. This
sauce is five to ten times spicier than it is flavorful.
In conclusion, I would say that it is a condiment, similar to mustard, used to spice up a dish whose flavor is provided by other ingredients.
A little too spicy for those who have trouble with spicy foods. Should be labeled as moderately spicy. Consistency too liquid. Interesting taste for chili lovers.
It says mild on the label, but to me it tastes medium-hot and slightly sour. Unfortunately, it's also too thin. Sorry, but this sauce is a no-go for me...
I received the sauce as part of a free product test. It's definitely not bad for a store-bought sauce. The smell and taste of jalapeños comes through nicely. If you don't have much time to cook, it's definitely a good option.
The sauce isn't bad and isn't too spicy either. You either love it or you don't. Unfortunately, the sauce is a little thin. Otherwise, the combination is good and goes very well with meat.
Not my favorite, but it goes well as an extra in fajitas.
