Whatever certain ticinese people say here: I think this panettone is great! Not too many marrons (less than in the picture); pleasant, not too overpoweringly spiced dough and above all: no disgusting raisins. If you like baroque, overfilled, dripping panettone, you've come to the wrong place. All the better, that leaves more marrons glacés for me!
I am from Ticino and often receive Italian panettone cakes as gifts. Seeing the overly generous ratings of other Swiss consumers, I tell myself that they are used to eating crap. This panettone falls short of expectations: after one slice I don't feel like eating another. It has few browns but the problem is mostly the dough that is not very tasty and not very fragrant. I am very sorry because I spent a lot, so the value for money is bad. It is not a fine fi luxury product, but rather not worth the exorbitant price.
