What is palm oil doing in "Tradition" biscuits? Does this ingredient have tradition in our biscuits?
Hello MarieStella, thank you for your message about the product Tradition Petit Gâteau aux Carottes. Where it is technologically possible, we do not use palm oil. However, when we do use palm oil, it is sustainably grown. Palm oil is one of the few vegetable fats that is solid and available in the required quantities. The industry therefore likes to use palm oil in products where firmness is required. This means that there is no need for artificial hardening. It is also important to know that the industry has not just recently started using palm oil. There are products that have always contained palm oil. For other products, the search was on for a fat that is not hydrogenated. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
