Why does the consumer have to pass by the self-scanning checkouts first? At MMM Brügg near Biel, the concept is obvious. If you move the staffed checkout to the right, fewer consumers will use the self-scanning system. Our two large cooperatives already know how to optimize personnel costs.

As an immediate measure, the Subito service station was moved to the far left of the window. This enabled us to widen the passageway between checkout 1 and Subito by approx. 60 cm. Kind regards, Lea
