I don't know if I'm in the right place - but I just have to vent my frustration
I was in a Migros store 4 times in December and January, 3 of them at the self-scan checkout because I was in a real hurry and, as usual, only 1 checkout was occupied (yes, I know, from 3 people onwards they ring the bell for a 2nd checkout - probably in theory) - anyway
Each time I had to be checked. Nothing to do with quickly - because firstly you wait half an eternity until someone approaches (or you have found someone) and then the shopping is unpacked again.
I admit, I was pretty angry - when I said that Migros should dismantle the checkouts again, I got a snippy reply - that it's no coincidence that they do it that way and I should just go to a normal checkout.
It's really not my problem as an honest customer - once again to go along with it - when the wholesalers are robbed like ravens.
Fewer and fewer staff and more of those self-scanning checkouts that nobody can see.
By the way - this has never happened to me at Coop in all these years and I don't think it happens at Aldi and Lild at all.....

I think the opposite is true. There are more checks at COOP than at Migros.

Especially when you're in a hurry, the frustration level increases with every additional minute of waiting time. Please let us know the number of your Cumulus card here. At least at Aldi, bags and rucksacks have recently been randomly checked even at the cash registers. It was even in the daily press.

Unfortunately, in certain countries like Sweden, expensive food (meat) is secured like clothes or you have to ask the staff because the freezer is locked. If it goes on like this with stealing, it will become an issue here too : (

You've been seeing this in Switzerland at Lidl and Aldi for a good 3 years now. Meat products, for example, are sometimes marked with a theft sticker.
