I buy them every now and then for a change and actually quite like them, but in the end I am bothered by the fact that the nuts don't stay quite as crunchy due to the moisture of the raisins. I suppose you can't have everything...

Unfortunately, it is unavoidable that the nuts in nut-fruit mixtures lose some of their crunchiness. The fruits, or raisins, have a higher water content than the nuts. This begins to even out over time. This means that the nuts become moister and therefore less crunchy, while the raisins become drier until finally (in extreme cases) both have the same moisture content.
