Hello Migros Yesterday we bought two bottles of UHT milk. The milk stank strongly of expired fish, absolutely inedible. Have the goods controls at Migros become so bad? I have to think about whether I will continue to buy milk from Migros in future. Best regards Llu
Hello Butterfly3643, we are very sorry that our whole milk has given you cause for complaint. So that we can trace the production, we would ask you to provide us with the best-before date and the lot number (begins with L and consists of letters and numbers). For now, we wish you a nice day. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
Hello Enclosed the photos, there are all the data on it Thank you and best regards Llu
Hello Butterfly3643, thank you for your feedback and for your pictures.
This product is not a UHT milk, but a pasteurized product. It is important to store it in a cool place (refrigerator) at all times - both before and after opening. This is because a different heat treatment is carried out here than with UHT milk.
We assume that the cause of this quality deviation is due to an interruption in the cold chain. Unfortunately, we are unable to determine where this occurred. We apologize for the loss of enjoyment. Kind regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello Migros. We have been buying this milk for a long time and have always been satisfied. However, we have recently had several bottles where the milk had an extremely unpleasant taste. It was a mixture of cowshed, manure, diesel... The milk had not gone bad. We suspect the taste came from the bottle. Did you change anything about the material? Have any other customers reported this? We had to empty at least 6 liters of milk in total. What a shame. Kind regards
Hello Mrs._Owl, thank you for your message. We are sorry that you were not able to enjoy the milk as usual. There were no adjustments to the production process. However, one production series was affected by a temporary malfunction in the packaging system. Unfortunately, we did not notice this, which meant that some faulty containers went on sale. We apologize for the error. The appropriate measures have already been initiated. We hope you will give our milk another chance to convince you of its proven quality. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Hello We regularly buy UHT Drink Milk Organic and are very satisfied. Unfortunately, we have now had two bottles in series that were undrinkable. These were the following numbers: R216/7/D03:41/L001215 and R216/2/D03:39/L001215.
It's the same with us... the whole 6-pack of milk has a pervasive smell of cowshed and tastes similar to manure. Hardly comparable to the warm, sweet raw milk straight from the cow or whey. Otherwise it is normal in consistency and color. Did something get into it during production?
Hello Kusi2024 & DerMilchBubi, thank you for your feedback. So that we can follow up on this, please enter your request, including the best-before date and lot number, in the relevant contact form at the following link: https://help.migros.ch/de/produkt.html. Hello, the last packs of milk we bought, all with an expiration date of 01.06.2024 (216/8/E16:32/L001120), have flakes in the milk and deposits at the top. How can this be with UHT milk? Otherwise this is not the case. Thank you for checking and for your feedback. Best regards Andrea
Hello andirea, we are sorry, the milk spoiled prematurely. We assume that the aluminum cap was not sealed properly. This allows micro-organisms to penetrate and cause the product to spoil prematurely. The main function of the packaging, namely to protect the contents, is therefore no longer guaranteed. This type of quality deviation does not affect the entire production process, but occurs in isolated cases. We carry out random checks on an ongoing basis, which quickly reveal a general problem. We will contact you privately. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Once the milk bottle has been opened, it can only be stored upright, otherwise the milk will run out. Already mentioned several times in the Center, when will this finally be changed? Coop has milk bottles that are 100% sealable and can be stored horizontally.
Hello ChiliBlitz¸ thank you for your question. We have informed the relevant department about your experience. In fact, we have already noticed that the twist locks do not meet our expectations. The supplier is already looking for solutions so that we can rectify the situation as quickly as possible. However, we have been informed by those responsible that we will probably not be able to make a definitive switch to improved lids until 2026, as the new packaging machine will be arriving then. We understand that such a circumstance is annoying, but we hope that you will give us a little patience. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

The milk is labeled with 3.5% milk fat. The nutritional values, on the other hand, state 4g fat per 100g. Is it a 3.5% or 4% fat milk?
Hello Alissa127, thank you for your inquiry. The labeling on the label is compliant. In fact, there are two different pieces of information.
1. the product description (whole milk, at least 3.5% fat) states that this is whole milk with unchanged content. It must have a fat content of at least 3.5% milk fat. This is a legal requirement.
2 The nutritional value table uses average values. On average, whole milk has a natural fat content of 4.0 g / 100 ml. These average values are adjusted from time to time.

Hello I would like to know if feeding corn silage is allowed in the specifications for organic milk?
Hello Spencer6, thank you very much for your question. We would like to inform you that feeding corn silage to dairy cows is permitted if the corn is of organic bud quality. Farms that deliver their milk to a cheese dairy must comply with the rules in force there (e.g. silage-free zone). Sincerely, your M-Infoline team

Please put the milk in a carton not in a plastic bottle. We will soon be suffocating in plastic, recycle oh dear who believes it I don't anymore!!!
Hello FranziskaLafnitz77a, thank you for letting us know. Not so long ago, we offered this milk in Tetra packs. Due to a lot of feedback, which primarily criticized the lack of recyclability of the Tetra pack, we have been offering the organic milk in PE bottles again since the end of 2021. There are currently no plans to switch again. However, we have gladly submitted your suggestion to the specialist department. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
I'm also someone who believes in sustainability, but the Tetra packaging was a no-go. Firstly, it left traces of taste and secondly, I'd rather have recyclable packaging than packaging that ends up in the bin. I was downright outraged that tetra packs were suddenly being used. I think it's a shame that there are people who believe that returned bottles aren't really recycled.

This morning we had mold in a bottle that was still sealed and not yet expired. How can this occur with UHT? Incorrect storage?
Hello Vera-Migros, we are sorry that you were unable to consume the milk. We assume that the aluminum cap was not sealed properly. This can allow microorganisms to penetrate and cause the product to spoil prematurely. Such a deviation in quality does not affect the entire production process, but occurs sporadically. We carry out random checks on an ongoing basis, during which a general problem quickly becomes apparent. We will contact you privately in a moment. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Dear Migros May I return the new packaging to customer service? I was able to hand in the old packaging at the shopping center. I would also like to know where this packaging is recycled. As far as I know, composite materials are difficult to recycle. If it says organic, I expect the same from the packaging. A garbage can is not an alternative, nor is paid disposal.
Hello Ferdii, thank you for your inquiry about milk packaging. Migros is very keen to recycle packaging in an ecologically sound and high-quality manner. Where it makes ecological sense and is economically viable, the raw materials should be recycled and returned to the material cycles. However, Migros is currently unable to offer to take back drinks cartons or Tetra Pak for various reasons. The recycling of beverage cartons has little additional environmental benefit and leads to very high additional costs. Beverage cartons are coated with aluminum and plastic and therefore cannot be handed over to the carton collection. Although beverage cartons are still disposed of in the garbage and then incinerated, the overall environmental impact of this packaging is positive. Cardboard is made from renewable raw materials. Migros also aims to procure packaging made from FSC-quality wood, but does not categorically reject the collection of beverage cartons. If the infrastructural, technical and financial hurdles can be overcome, the eco-balance improves and there is also a strong customer demand, Migros will reconsider the introduction of a voluntary collection of beverage cartons. Currently, they are disposed of in household waste. We are happy to send you the link to a study on the life cycle assessment below: https://www.bafu.admin.ch/bafu/de/home/themen/abfall/mitteilungen.msg-id-54391.html Some local collection points already take back Tetra Pak. You can find more information on this under this link: https://www.getraenkekarton.ch/ Kind regards, your M-Infoline team
Yes, that may be true. However, if you do what you have to do in the case of UHT organic milk, namely not compare apples with pears, the recyclable packaging would certainly do better than the composite materials they fell for!
Dear Migros, thank you very much for your answer, so I can simply throw Tetrapaks in the bin with a clear conscience, as you consider disposable packaging to be more ecological. Why not just throw them in the forest? Please establish a recycling system first, and then you can think about changing. Sustainable is different.
