1. why do these sausages have a lower protein content than chickpeas? 2. if i see the protein content as a daily ration, 28% per 100 g, i would have to eat 8 sausages a day, which corresponds to 400 g. is that correct?

Hello PatJ, the M-Classic Wienerli have a protein content of 14g per 100g, cooked chickpeas contain approx. 7g protein per 100g (you cannot compare this with dried chickpeas). The percentages provide information on what the consumption of one portion of the product means for covering the daily requirement of protein, for example. Reference values for the daily intake, so-called "reference amounts", are used, which are based on a diet of 2000 calories (equivalent to 8400 kilojoules), which corresponds to the requirements of an average adult. The daily requirement can of course be lower or higher, depending on age, gender, physical activity, etc. The daily protein requirement should of course be covered by various foods - and not only by Wienerli. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
