A week ago, I contacted your customer service directly by e-mail regarding the origin of this mustard. I can find the ingredients on your website? You write that the origin can be found on the packaging but it only says the country of packaging (emballé) but not who makes it? Migros has not been able to answer my question to date, no, yesterday I had to send a photo of the tube, which made me smile! But now I would like to know where and which company produces your M-Classic mustard semi-sharp article number: 106413000000! 😊 Thank you very much

Why is it so important to you where the mustard is produced?

Why is it so important to you that I want to know where this mustard is produced? I want to know where the food comes from....

I can understand the origin, but the company is irrelevant. And Migros won't tell you that either 😂

If you "scroll down" further, you can read that the Migros company ELSA has bought a factory in Alsace, I didn't know that before, I was always surprised that such products are made in France.

Hello Chg1109, thank you for your message. We regret that you have not yet received a response from our customer service regarding the origin of the mustard. You are right to contact us so that we can provide the necessary clarification. Rhyfalllforelle is right: ELSA, which produces our sauces, has bought a factory in Alsace. They themselves no longer produce sauce in Estavayer-le-Lac. As a result, everything will remain in the hands of ELSA, but will now be bottled in Alsace. Nevertheless, we are currently looking into new possibilities. We hope this information is helpful to you. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

I also think it's a shame that the mustard is no longer produced in Switzerland. Could another Swiss mustard be added to the range, e.g. Hugo or Gautschi? And yes, I know that there is another mustard from a large global company, but I don't want to support it on principle.

Hello mnu90, the reason for the change in origin is that ELSA, which used to produce our sauces, has bought a factory in Alsace. They themselves no longer produce sauce in Estavayer-le-Lac. So everything is still under the control of ELSA, but is now bottled in Alsace. Nevertheless, we are currently looking into new possibilities. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

Why are this and all other Migros mustards and mayonnaises produced in France? Not so long ago it still said "swiss made".

Hello KurtW, thank you for your inquiry. All these articles are produced by our own industry ELSA. They have outsourced production to Alsace. Best regards, your M-Infoline team

@Migros: So you don't care if I only shop abroad instead of at Migros? Since you (IMHO senselessly) outsource your production abroad...

Hello KurtW, Elsa-Mifroma is acquiring the majority of Idhéa in Alsace. Idhéa specializes in the production and sale of cold sauces and condiments, mainly in the catering and industrial sectors in France. Elsa has thus discontinued the production of sauces in Estavayer-Le-Lac and has gradually integrated its sauce business into Idhéa by the end of 2017/beginning of 2018. However, the company will continue to market its "Saveurs et Sauces" and "Case de l'Epices" brands under the name "Idhéa". We are sorry that you do not agree with this decision. The specialist department has been informed. Best regards, your M-Infoline team
