We deliberately sell the La Girolle and the Tête de moine cover separately. If one of the products is damaged, you don't have to buy everything new.
The "metal shavings" are actually caused by friction, especially if the cheese has thawed too much. However, they do not pose a health risk.
If you wish, we can replace the axle and the blade for you.
