Hello Tamarusch, thank you for this interesting question, which we have discussed with our specialist department. Polyquaternium or synthetic polymers are always a topic of discussion. This is because synthetic polymers are often mistakenly equated with microplastics. As individual molecules, synthetic polymers are water-soluble and much smaller than the plastic pieces of microplastics and also have no surface to absorb substances, so they cannot cause the environmental problems identified for microplastics. They are degradable - albeit very slowly - and do not accumulate in the environment. Nevertheless, we are always working on improvements and have good news for you: the formula of the shampoo was revised last year to meet current market requirements regarding "without synthetic polymers". Our development department has reformulated the formula as closely as possible without the unwanted raw materials. It is possible that our customers will notice this change in the formula when using the product. The modified formula has been produced from batch 710444 and since December 2021. However, we cannot say when the new recipe will be available in which store.
