Are the little blue beads in the product microplastic or not?

Hello ddust, thank you for your inquiry. We have not been using plastic microbeads as exfoliating/cleaning particles for many years, but now use other exfoliants individually or in combination with minerals such as clay or perlite. Yours sincerely, the M-Infoline team

Based on the ingredients, I am concerned that this peeling contains plastic (beads), which would be unnecessary from a functional point of view because there are natural substitutes, and problematic from an environmental point of view because plastic accumulates in the oceans. What exactly is the situation now and what does Migros think about plastic pollution?

Hello pat99 Thank you for your question. We apologize for taking so long to get back to you, but we have contacted our supplier. We can now confirm that Garnier Pure Active Intensive Peeling does not contain polyethylene particles. By 2017, the L'Oréal Group will also gradually replace polyethylene particles in all other peeling products with other active ingredients that have an equivalent effect on the skin. The environmental compatibility of our products is particularly important to our supplier and to us. We are therefore constantly working to improve their ecological properties, which we hope will help you. We will continue to be there for you in the future and wish you a good time. Kind regards from the M-Infoline team

Yes, unfortunately the information provided by M-Infoline is FALSE. It may be that polyethylene will no longer be used from 2017, but this problematic substance is currently INCLUDED in the product! The M-Infoline is NOT prepared to correct its deliberately FALSE statement despite being pointed out. So much for the credibility of Migros and the Infoline...
