Alternatively, there could be a clearly visible board where every customer can find out what is in season and pay a little more attention to it when buying. It could be done with a one-off, minimal effort: Next to "zucchetti", "apples" or whatever, just write "season Switzerland from ... to ...". They don't even want to tell us where the products come from on the website and the price boards and just write "You can find the origin information on the packaging". That's almost always the case, but sometimes it's not. I have nothing against the year-round range, but information that helps us make decisions would really be in keeping with the times and could influence menu planning. After all, it's not just our fault that we no longer know whether, for example, strawberries are in season in October or December here. 😯 Can we actually rely on the slogan "From the region" in terms of season or how big are these regions now?
