Another price increase! Within a very short space of time, Migros has increased the price of cheese from CHF 2.90 to CHF 3.10 and now to CHF 3.20! The reason is surely again attributed to rising energy costs, even though everyone - except Migros - knows that these have fallen again since October 2022. Also the fresh bakery peaks - there used to be a whole 6 of them and at a lower price. That's one way to rip off the consumer!
Hello ianduc, the rising prices in the procurement market for raw materials, packaging materials and manufacturing costs are currently a major challenge. Electricity and gas prices in particular have risen dramatically, and these higher energy costs are making transportation and the manufacture of almost all products more expensive. Migros Industry will also be imposing higher procurement prices from 2023, and Migros will be forced to pass on some of these additional costs to its customers. At the same time, however, we have also been able to make savings across the entire value chain. These savings cushion the price increases or we can pass them on to our customers in the form of lower prices for individual items/ranges. The changeover in croissants is due to a new production facility. Thanks to this measure, we are now able to offer croissants in a more regular shape, with a larger volume and a better texture. The individual croissants now weigh more - the total weight and price have therefore remained the same. The packaging is now better filled and more stable. Best regards, Mia
Awakening needs on the side aaarg. I didn't even know that Migros sells chevrier cheese. Probably because it doesn't do that in the whole of Winterthur and the surrounding area! 😪
