Over 50 years ago, we—mothers with children—actively campaigned to ensure that there would also be single-serving portions and packages available for people living alone. Now that I’m living alone myself, I see that certain things still haven’t improved! When I shop in stores myself (which isn’t easy with a mobility impairment), it’s still manageable for fruits and some vegetables (unfortunately not all of them!). But as soon as I order through Migros Online or smood (which is no longer available either :-( ), I’m forced to place orders over a hundred francs. Fruits and vegetables are then only available in one-kilo and multi-kilo packages. Simply too much for a single customer! I think single customers, whose numbers are growing, should be better accommodated. Ultimately, this also has to do with preventing food waste, dear Migros management!!
Now I’m experiencing firsthand what it means to no longer shop and cook for four or six people, but “only” for myself—an elderly and mobility-impaired consumer!
What do other Migros customers think about this?
