Finally, you can buy local asparagus again. But oh no—they’re all damp inside a completely sealed plastic bag. What were they thinking when they packaged the asparagus? It’s strange; all the other asparagus is just held in place at the bottom by a cardboard box, with the tips left exposed. I bought some local ones anyway and opened the bag as soon as I got home. Just as I feared, they already smelled like rot. Luckily, I was able to wash them well, so they were still edible. The new potatoes (finally from the region and not always just from abroad) are also packed in a plastic bag. Does Migros want people to buy only products from abroad, or why would you pack damp vegetables in a plastic bag?
