Why are you replacing the manager?

Perché cambiate il gerente?

I’ve always wondered one thing: why do branch managers have to move to a new location every five years, even when they’re doing an excellent job? As a customer, if I find a well-organized branch with a competent manager and a close-knit team, I have a hard time understanding the reason for a change. It often takes a branch manager years to build a good work environment, establish trust with the assistant manager and staff, and resolve any issues carried over from the past. Furthermore, a team that works well together conveys professionalism, calmness, and a willingness to help. We customers notice this and feel welcome, almost as if we were among people we’ve known for a long time. That’s why I wonder: when a branch is running smoothly, the staff is motivated, and customers are satisfied, wouldn’t it make sense to consider exceptions to the rotation rule? What are the advantages of replacing a manager who has helped build a strong and effective team?
