After the super pilot project "M-Plus", the equally super project "MyMigros" is now also being scrapped. Why is that? As we all know, Migros belongs to all of us. So why aren't we being asked for our opinion?

Hello @pwilms Thank you for your message. My Migros is a pilot project. With the new online supermarket, Migros Aare wanted to test how the growing customer needs for faster, more flexible and more ecological delivery can be met by using new logistics processes and technologies. In addition to the desired innovations, a key objective of the pilot project was to develop a sustainably viable and economical business model. As is the nature of a pilot project, it is important to take stock after a certain period of time and decide either to expand the project or to end it. My Migros has been very well received on the market, has been continuously developed and has grown steadily. On the other hand, despite comprehensive measures - such as the introduction of new delivery charges and optimized processes, as well as the great commitment of all My Migros employees - the expectations in terms of profitability could not be met. Migros Aare has therefore decided to end the pilot project and to focus on an online supermarket solution in future - namely Migros Online. The decision to focus on an online channel means that My Migros will be discontinued at the end of September 2023. After that, our customers will be able to do their shopping either at Migros Online, Migros' established online supermarket throughout Switzerland, or in one of our stores. Thanks to My Migros, we have gained a lot of valuable experience and important insights that are of great value to Migros. Some of the achievements from the pilot project have already been incorporated into Migros Online, and more will follow. Best regards, Sebastian
