Today, May 15, 2024, I was in Migros Ostermundigen looking for fresh lettuce. The "youngest" was dated May 11. All the others were older, some had been packed a week ago, on May 8th! Is that called fresh? In future, I will be looking for fresh vegetables more often at Aldi, where the produce is also cheaper. Migros is visibly declining...what a shame!
Of course it's not cool, but the date isn't everything... if the salad looks good, you can enjoy it... so you're just generating unnecessary food waste. You could possibly reduce the 8.5... But what I don't think is ok... I have the feeling that it's ok if everything is almost empty at Aldi and Lidl in the FG in the evening, but at Coop or Migros there are immediate complaints. Of course, the discounters can be fresher.

Well, rotten lettuce just appeared when I was preparing it. I think it's particularly important for fruit and vegetables to be as fresh as possible. It is well known that vitamins are lost quickly.

That's exactly why I only buy fruit/vegetables from Migros very, very rarely. Sorry, but the competition is cheaper and fresher - both organic, from abroad and from Switzerland.
