I gladly agree with you. Today's gnocchi in combination with sauce are like bubblegum, everything sticks in your mouth and they have no taste. The gnocchi from "back then" were sensational. Top quality for the low price, tasty and just the way gnocchi should be. Thank you for your contribution! I thought I was the only one :) EDIT: I had a quick look at the ingredients. What is rice flour doing in potato gnocchi? I assume it's the sticky and soggy component because anyone who knows Mochi, for example, knows how uncomfortably sticky rice flour can be. If you compare the ingredient lists and ratings of the various gnocchi products, you'll notice that all those containing rice flour score worse and are criticised for being sticky. Gnocchi should contain potatoes, flour, eggs and salt. No rice flour.
